Atlanta Trip: Fernbank Museum | Travel Photography
So, I'm not too sure what happened this Summer, but I have a serious backlog of photos sitting in my Lightroom library right now. I think that means I went on too many vacations, or something along those lines. That just means I have some serious blogging to do to catch up! These photo are from the Boy and my vacation to Atlanta after shooting Donna's wedding in South Carolina. The first stop was to the Fernbank Museum in Atlanta. Now I've gone to quite a few natural history museums in the past few years, and I do have to say this was one of the most interesting. I loved the spiral staircase in the center of the building, with tons of natural light, and huge dinosaurs! Now unlike Gabe, I don't know all the technical names and dino facts off the top of my head(he's a bit of a dinosaur nerd :P), but what I can tell you is they were mighty impressive and large and in charge, I was playing around with some freelensing in some of these, and I think I might be starting to really get the hang of it.
There were quite a few of these taxidermy dioramas in the center of the museum. I got this idea to try to make them look alive. Some are more successful than others, but I really love them all!
