iPhone Photography (?!) at The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens | NY Photographer
Despite the fact that according to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens Cherry Blossom Status map, none of the trees were in full bloom, Gabriel and I decided to take a chance and go there anyway. The map did not lie, and not only were none of the cherry trees in bloom, neither was much else. I have a feeling it has to do with the chilly Spring we have been having this year. We did manage to I have a confession for you guys. I was an idiot. I did something so dumb. I made a rookie mistake.
Here it is... The night before we went, while I packed up my camera bag with all the lenses I might want to shoot with, I realized my camera battery was a little low, so I plugged it in. The next morning we were going back and forth deciding if we should take the train or drive in, so it was slightly chaotic. I just grabbed my camera bag and ran out of the house. It was only when we got to Brooklyn that I realized that I had forgotten the battery in the wall. I felt like a total idiot. I have never done anything so dumb when it comes to photography. Yes, we are all human, and make mistakes. It's not the end of the world, but I realized how lost I felt to be without my camera. It felt so foreign to me to not be taking pictures. Years ago, I used to want to take pictures all of the time, but I felt really self conscious about it, so I just didn't. I guess that was one plus to come out of my faux pas. To realize just how much photography has become a part of me, and a part of my life.
I did wind up getting some pictures though! Luckily, I had my newly purchased Olloclip with me! I had yet to really test it out, and boy was I surprised with some of the results. So I present to you, my one (and probably only) iPhone only photography post:
